    Maritime

The sea environment is one of the most damaging for metals - the salt and the humidity will quickly cause corrosion, and much of Britain's valuable maritime heritage will slip away without expert attention. Eura Conservation have conserved and consulted on many maritime artefacts, both in the water and out.

    ss Great Britain

We are currently conserving the ironwork of the hull, and generally protecting the historic elements of the ship as part of a major redevelopment of the site, working in partnership with the ss Great Britain Trust and supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

    Gravesend Pier

Gravesend Town Pier is the oldest surviving cast iron pier in the world, opened in 1834. Working with marine engineers at Mowlem Marine, Eura Conservation treated the historic iron components of the pier.

    Miss Britain III

This famous and futuristic-looking speedboat is constructed from aluminium, with a vintage sportscar-style cockpit. In addition, she was able to attain a speed of 100.1 miles an hour - setting the world speed record for a single-engined boat.

Eura Conservation restored the shine to her bodywork, constructed a special display stand, and generally prepared her for public exhibition at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.

    Queen's Pier, Isle of Man

Eura Conservation Ltd. were metalwork conservation specialists on the recent structural and conservation survey of the pier at Ramsey on the Isle of Man.
